Introduction to Radiance
So the first post is always rough. I suppose explaining why I want to make a blog and what type of content I'd like to share is the obvious first move. I'm making a blog because I want to share information, stories, and experiences that are interesting to me and I find that this content is a bit much for a Facebook or Twitter post. As for the type of content, at the moment the best I can do is just ballpark. The things that I find most interesting generally fall in the category of science, technology, first world problems, etc. So it stands to reason that this will likely be the sort of content that one could expect from Radiance Ocean.
* Also by this point it should also be clear that I am a fan of the Oxford comma. *
I suppose I should also share something of myself. I am currently a twenty-something working in the aerospace industry as a software engineer – the least "engineer" of engineers. This fact will be reinforced quite often given the topics that I will inevitably choose. I also have a love for science that goes far outside of my chosen field of study so do expect this to be dangerously broad in its scope. If that last statement worried you don't fret I italicized on purpose because I'll have you know that I've made at least a few friends over my years in academia and will be picking their brains to sure up my – and your – understanding of the topics that we discuss.
I should note that although I will endeavor to be, foremost, accurate in my relaying of these interesting things, I also find using the full flexibility of the English language to be a close second. As British Comedian David Mitchell once said, "it is fun to flash a bit of verbal dexterity". The truth is that even when I'm not attempting to, my writing tends to take on a subtle jovial quality some would say. I hope that you are not one of that some who would say such things, but the again who am I to turn people away.
Well at this point you're already here so you might as well stick around and find out what that last couple of paragraphs was all about.
